PlayStation 2 Console (Slim Line Version 1) (Renewed)

I'm stoked. With this I am able to play a game I've had on my mind for years - - Gauntlet : Dark Legacy.I'm having a blast, I'm very satisfied thanks to this beautiful seller who sold a U.S. PS2 that actually works and isn't a Japanese one that's region-locked. I am absolutely satisfied and grateful to this seller.

When I plugged it in, and turned it on, the audio from the PS2 had a horrible mechanical buzzing sound. It was coming from the speakers, not the console. Additionally, it shut down when I tried to put in a disc with no scratches on it, trying to read the disc. When I did find a disc it could read, there were horrible horizontal lines every time the music got frenetic. I dunno what the hell is up with it, but this was an awful buy, and while I hope to get my refund, it's tying up almost $200 for a month while it processes. I will not be buying from this seller again.

Ok let me be honest in the extreme. I had many doubts about getting a PS2 slim ot phat,but I've got to say it was perfect!!!!! Played like a dream instantly ( and I'm not ashamed to say I was so happy I almost cried!) well done, packaged great ( box within a box!) now I can relive those great memories with my son again!!!! I highly recommend it for everyone!!!!!!!!

I was very happy to get a fully function ps2, with a memory card and two games, which for whatever reason I wasn’t expecting once I received it. I’m sure I read in when I ordered.The only unfortunate thing keeping it from being a 5 star is the controller came with an R2 button that didn’t work for whatever reason even though every other button worked and it didn’t look or feel damaged. That sucks, but with old stuff like this my expectations trend on the low side, so I’m happy overall.

Perfect condition

I was very disappointed in the condition of my “Amazon Renewed” PlayStation 2 console. I was supposedly guaranteed to be receiving an “Excellent - Refurbished” model. I tried playing a PS2 game on the console and it wouldn’t even read the disc. I checked the disc tray and there was dust covering the tray. The disc won’t even spin. Not sure if it’s a problem with the laser, or the sensors. But regardless of what the issue is, this is extremely low quality service. I understand it’s an old system that can be plagued with issues, but this is unacceptable. There’s absolutely no way this console was tested and cleaned before leaving Amazon or the original seller.

The media could not be loaded. PlayStation worked perfectly. All my games work on it and I liked that it came quickly. I could spend hours playing it. It came with 2 controllers, power cord, memory card, and Aux cords. Just make sure to order a PS2 to HDMI converter or you won’t be able to use it if you have a smart TV.

From the reviews i was skeptical of purchasing, however the ps2 works as it should now and is fairly clean. The controller on the other hand is in very poor condition. There is bare wires showing. And it works intermittently . No problems with the ps2 but the controller is terrible. I have reached out to the supplier with no results yet. Will post a update if resolved!
