Mmmm, i like this pickling mix. It's zesty! I love making pickles, this is a great spice mix to start you off.

I bought the spice to make refrigerator pickles. It's traditional pickle flavor spice. A little different than most. Most pickle spice has a lot of dill in it. I don't use a lot of salt in my pickles, but some. White vinegar, fresh garlic, the pickle spice and water. I had a bumper crop of pickles the season and made several jars of pickles. They're nice to hand out to friends and neighbors. Instead of just plain old cucumbers. Overall, excellent spice quality of its blend was great. Just what I was looking for. Reasonably priced as well. Would also work in a chicken brine or corned beef brisket.

Bought this after buying Mccormick brand that had to much weird spices as extra. Just wanted the standard spices for making corned beef brisket. At beef prices nowadays, most people can't afford to be screwing around. This is what you want.

Really good flavor and smells great. Made pickles with this stuff very delicious.

Gives pickled vegetables something extra besides vinegar taste

This is better than expected. I have been making refrigerated pickles & pickled beets and eggs. I can't make them fast enough to keep up with family demand. The only other ingredient I added was fresh garlic cloves.Will definitely be ordering again.

I never know what I will be getting when it comes to pickling spices. I just know that McCormick is not it. Will never be right. The combination and having to pick out cloves, for starters. These spices are perfect for my veges. Not so overpowering. They do not change the beautiful freshness and taste of the vegetable, they add a tangy tiny touch of special to them. Well combined batch of spices, in the right amounts. You can add a touch of heat by adding the chilis that are inside, but the chilis are big enough pieces you can pick them out. I used these to pickle some refrigerater pickled red onion, carrots, cucumber, and OH wow. These are the best I have ever made. I am going to can and pickle red cabbage and red onions and see how the spices hold up. I might add them to the jar instead of in the brine or do both. I will order this again.
