A good product
Excellent product. I use on outside table and chairs once a year. This furniture is close to the sea and exposed to salty spray from time to time. Cuprinol keeps the furniture, which is now a good few years old, protected. Does what it says on the tin!

Hard Work but Good Result
Our furniture is oiled annually but last cleaned about 5 years ago, using the furniture manufacturer’s cleaner. It is left in the open most of the summer (covered if prolonged period of rain is forecast) but covered in the autumn until the following spring. The furniture looked like the 1st attached photo before starting – the shine is from the layer of water lying on the surface after a rain shower. The instructions for the Cuprinol Garden Furniture Restorer states to apply liberally with a paintbrush and work into the surface using a mild abrasive or stiff bristle brush, leave for 15 minutes maximum and then wash off the restorer. A 2nd treatment with the restorer did not seem to make much difference. To clean off the majority of the discolouration it needed more than this. I used a green nylon pot scourer, dipped in the restorer, and had to rub hard along the grain (not across the grain as this will raise the surface and make it rough). After it was dry, the 2nd & 3rd photos show the result before applying furniture oil.To protect the wood I used Cuprinol Ultimate Hardwood Furniture Oil. This was applied using a paint brush and then lightly worked into the grain with a soft (oily) cloth. Two coats were sufficient for the table frame but the table top, which had taken the brunt of the weathering needed 3 ~ 4 coats before the oil stopped soaking into the wood and left a sheen on the surface after a couple of hours drying. The 4th & 5th photos shows the finished result while the 6th & 7th ones shows the beads of water on the surface after overnight rain.Only time will tell weather Cuprinol Ultimate is better than the standard Cuprinol Oil I have used previously to protect the surface.Note: The chairs in the 1st photo have not yet been done – they will take a lot more hard work to clean them.

Makes my old bench look as good as new
I have used Cuprinol teak oil in the past and have been happy with the quality of the oil and the all year round protection it provides. So when my wooden bench was looking like it needed some TLC, I decided to treat it with some teak oil. After preparing the bench I applied the oil with a cloth, the bench seemed to drink it in and I ended up applying three coats in total. The oil brought out the woods naturally colour and my bench now looks as good as new.

Worth the expense,Worth the effort in slavering coats on garden furniture to Restore,Protect+Revive
First time ever painting n I found myself quite enjoying doing this; but tis hard going. knowing that I'm restoring n protecting the valuable garden furniture; bringing life back to them, is reassuring tho; also knowing that it won't needing to be done again for quite a while thankfully.Just bought another tin, so be slavering coats on again. The table + chairs do look good, back to their original colour; if not a tad bit darker.Infact, should of done this number of years ago~~my table + chairs are almost 12yrs old n luckily they haven't even weakened with age; but this paint will protect them for many more years. Love this shade of darkest oak, better than pine..Two days later n OMG~ the table has darkened already, lovely shade. The table looks even better than when I first bought them; so I got the right colour; can't beat OAK ~just have to do finish off the two chairs now.... just a shame doesn't come in a spray; be wonderful if mads + her carer could paint them for me whilst I have well earned restBought a third tin of this Teak paint, gonna do the bench now n I betya it will go nicely together with the table n 2chairs, so might end up looking as it was meant to be together as one
