Dried Hibiscus petals are used in drinks by soaking them in water. You can make pure hibiscus herbal tea by pouring boiled water over the petals and leave to infuse for 3 minutes. Hibiscus And Raspberry Leaf tea A refreshing tea made from hibiscus petals and raspberry leaves. Directions Hibiscus Tea: Put 5-10 petals into a teacup and fill with boiling water. Stir and leave to brew for 3 minutes. Hibiscus Jelly: Boil a pint of water and add to a saucepan. Add a handful of hibiscus petals and brew for 5 minutes whilst simmering. Strain and return to the saucepan. Add around a tablespoonful of agar flakes and a small tablespoonful of sugar. Heat gently for 3 minutes while the agar dissolves.
