Works great in my new mATX computer! This power supply has a winning combination of Gold-rating, short depth, modular, and good value. I'm impressed with the quality and finish, it has stamped side panels and branding that is part of the powder coat rather than just stickers.The motherboard and CPU power cables are integrated, everything else is modular. My unit included one PCIe power cable with two 6+2 pin connectors, two SATA power cables, one with 2 and one with 4 connectors, and one molex cable with 3 connectors. It also came with 3 velcro straps which are useful for organizing your other cables outside of the computer.All in all, the true test of a 5-star rating for a power supply is if the unit works perfectly over a long life and dies peacefully without killing any other components in the PC. But that review wouldn't be too helpful to anyone looking to buy something here and now!

This review is for the Seasonic SSR-550FM. I spent 5 years building gaming computers professionally. For the last 6 years since then, I build about 12-15 gaming PCs annually for friends, family, and business customers turned personal customers. Because of how many computers are out there that have my stamp of approval on them and the fact that I'd rather not get constant phone calls about issues my builds have - I use nothing but Seasonic PSUs. They are profoundly reliable and the customer support is amazing. The SSR-550FM is a great price to performance power supply. It has enough juice to power moderate gaming builds. My Go to mid level build is a Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB, i5-8600k, 16Gb Corsair RAM, 4-6 120mm fans, m.2 SSD main drive, 2TB data drive. This PSU runs this build perfectly and maintains total silence. I will trust Seasonic for a very long time as it has already been a very long time I have been using their products and I have yet to experience any sort of failure or disappointment. I will continue to use and suggest Seasonic PSUs for the whole of the forseeable future. Great buy! I am sure will be getting plenty more SSR-550FM's in the future.

I was looking for a quiet, semi or fully modular, 550w or higher PSU with at least a 5 year warranty.This power supply was smaller than expected- which actually made fitting it into my case and having extra room to tuck cables into SO much easier than I was expecting.It's semi modular, which I think is perfectly fine as long as the hardwire cables are long enough and easy to manage; in this case they were. I wound up only plugging in two of the extra cables and their lengths were perfect, also. It came with a nice little bag, some velcro straps and zip ties for cable managementThis PSU is near silent, has a 7 Year Warranty and having dealt with Seasonic in the past I know their customer service is top notch. This power supply is simply amazing for the price sure its semi modular but it gets the job done and is well made.I have Personally been using seasonic power supply's for years for my own personal use and as a system builder.They are rock solid on top of that their RMA process is fast and easy only ever had 1 fail on me a few years back.I strongly recommend those looking for either a new power supply or are building a PC to use seasonic power supplys.

The Focus 550 Gold power supply is excellent. I can't even hear it running. The semi-modular cabling is easy to use: only the required cables are permanently connected and the others can be connected when needed, so you don't need tons of extra cables hanging in your case!The supply provides plenty of power for anything I need, even if I need to add extra graphics cards or other devices.Installation was easy: just slide it into the case, screw in a few screws, and plug in to the motherboard and drives.Best of all, the power supply does it's job and let's me focus on the rest of the computer.

The product arrived quickly in a good condition package. Worked properly out of the box, was easy to install onto the case and connected easily to all components. The psu came with all needed cables to get my pc running and working completely fine.To conclude, a good psu to get your pc going with a very good price and quality(80 plus gold rated) and a very nice 550 Watts.

I put this into an existing build; the old power supply had randomly shut down the computer without warning twice in the span of a month, so I figured I'd better get on replacing it. I already had a spare, but it wasn't modular, so I went to look for one that was at least semi-modular and found this. Great reviews, great price, what's not to love?It arrived today, with everything looking good. Took out the old PSU, put in this one, and flipped the switch. Lights go on for a split second, then everything dies. Not exactly pleased, I took it out and put in the extra, non-modular PSU, and my computer booted back up again, except this time it was saying that there were no boot devices installed. I went into my BIOs and sure enough, my boot drive (a SSD I've had for a few years now) was gone. I even switched my cables around (both the power connector and SATA) to make sure something wasn't wrong with them, and no matter what I did, it was only the boot drive that never showed up.Now, I'm glad that I didn't put anything very important on said drive, as it was mainly just to boot up Windows 7, but I ended up "upgrading" to Windows 10 because it seems like Microsoft made it as difficult as possible to do a fresh install of the former without a DVD drive, which I'm lacking at this point. Either way, I'm not too pleased that I just lost a SSD, and I'm hoping I don't eventually find out that something useful was on that drive.

Great PSU thus far, runs 24\7 in my NAS sever, quite and efficient.

Easy install, same footprint as the stock powersupply it replaced, so a great choice for this case. Rather inexpensive for a solid gold rated psu. Quiet running. At 550w, allowed me to safely add a Gtx970 to this rig. Excuse the rat's nest of wires, that's my fault. Lol

Using this to power a system with RX570, a bit overkill but I just wanted the system to be quiet and at low fan speeds even when it's under load. This certainly does its job! It remains quiet even under load and the semi-modular cables help de-clutter the case a bit too. Couldn't be more satisfied. Quality Seasonic product.P.S. This replaces a 9-year old Corsair TX650W that I've been re-using (recently started developing fan noises even after cleaning, and coil whine).

Purchased this for $60CAD on Black Friday. Great price. Works well. Seasonic is a quality brand.

Excelente para una Gold+, llegó en tiempo y quedo perfecta en mi gabinete, mi preocupación era el largo del cable para el CPU ya que mi gabinete es alto, sin embargo el largo de los cables es adecuado no hubo problema, es muy silenciosa también incluso con juegos demandantes.
