I thought this product was rather expensive for what it was, but at the end of the day, you can't put a price on your health. My husband is diabetic, and occasionally suffers from a "wobbly" fit, which means he starts to feel dizzy and a bit weak. This is an indication that his blood sugars are running low, and he needs to take a sugar-rich product such as a jam sandwich or a chocolate bar, to bring the levels up again. These sachets of gel glucose are ideal; they're simple to open, very easy to swallow, and they work very quickly. And much better for him than a bar of chocolate!

Glucogel.
Glucogel is very efficient for reversing hypos in type 1 diabetics. It's easy to carry around in a pocket or handbag and we wouldn't like to be without it. I've seen reviews with complaints about short use by dates on this item and I can sympathise with that as a previous pack I ordered did only have a few weeks to run. However I was very pleased to find that this latest pack has a full twelve months before expiry which is a great improvement. So it seems that you take a chance on what is in stock at the time as is the case with anything with a best before date. Expensive? Well it's certainly not cheap but if you try to buy the same product in a high street chemist you may find, as I did, that it is a third more expensive to buy that way.

As a diabetic these are vital when out and about and/or on holiday - I can’t find them in chemists either here or abroad so always take several boxes. Very speedy delivery and service, and a long shelf life too. I just always hope Amazon never stop selling them!

What you have to remember they are a sealed unit tube, the sort you have to break the top off. Glucose itself I belief doesn't go off. So even though there is an apparent shelf life, personally its probably longer than stated to prevent liability"}}]}]}
