Cable Box screw removal tool
I bought this because every time I call for service on my tv cable system the repair guy ends up prying the box open because he don't have the tool. The tool worked great whenever I needed to get into the box. Last visit from the cable guy I loaned him my tool and after he left it was gone. My recommendation if you get one of these don't loan it to the cable guy.

Works well to remove connectors. Seems well made
Plated well. Spring action is smooth. Unit twists a little with stuck connectors so be careful to not overtorque.

Just what I needed
When Spectrum decided to charge $60 for a tech to come out and plug my cable back in I was ticked. I opened the box myself and found the lock they put on my port. 2 days later this beauty arrives and the stupid lock was removed in seconds. Now I have internet without having to pay for their tech to do next to nothing. Thanks Amazon!

perfect for a homeowner
Perfect for a home owner. If you need an inexpensive tool that you are only going to use a few times this is perfect. It does the job. The local cable company couldn't install wires neatly to save their lives this let me get into the box to clean up their mess. I honestly don't know why they lock them. You need a box or modem activated by them to do anything with the signal anyway. I wouldn't buy this if you are planning ob using it frequently it is definitly cheaply made. However that is why it is perfect. How often will the average homowner use it once? Why spend $50 when this works for $8?

Works as it should.
Works as intended but I doubt it would stand up to every day use for some people. For professional use I would look for a commercial product that is a little more durable. For occasional use it is perfect. I just needed to remove a terminator that Comcast left on our splitter. Now I am able to hook up one more cable to the splitter.

Broke on 1st use
I’m a contractor for spectrum, I recently switched jobs to a different contractor and needed one of these as this company doesn’t provide one. When I received the tool it felt cheap, the handle was quite a bit skinnier, but figured it should still work specially with so many positive reviews. 1st day on the job I tried to remove a terminator from a tap which I’ve done 1000+ times. It locked in, and was difficult to turn and never broke the terminator loose. The shaft I guess became unsecured in the handle, so I used pliers grabbing the plunger to twist it off. The terminator was then stuck on the tool, the shaft was slightly bent and the plunger no longer worked and couldn’t retract the flanges that lock into the terminator. I managed to get the terminator off the next day and returned the item. I would not recommend this tool. However, another coworker is using the same one successfully so I guess it’s not all bad.
