Q: How many pencils will it hold?

This sturdy box will hold 26 Caran dAche water soluble colored pencils without lid mashing and with 3/4" room at end of pencils for small sharpener, eraser, etc.

Q: Can 3 in x 3 in post-its fit in this pencil case?

No, not very well. The inside of the box is 2-5/8" x 7-3/4".

Q: Anybody use this for oil pastel storage?

No, I have not. Probably would work for the smaller diameter tubes however. Wasn't crazy about the latches. They latch up (they are attached to the base, not the lid) instead of down. Having a latch on the lid which would latch down would make more sense to me. I use it for storage of small hobby items and it works fine for that.

Q: Will these hold baseball cards?

I don't know the size of a baseball card, but I would think so. You could probably stack 5 cards side by side, for a total of 10 possibly. Not much more than that.
