Q: It doesn't go come out of sleep mode when I press any key. I changed windows settings to no avail and no other keyboards do this. How to do this?

Don't have that problem personally, but I suspect it is one of two things. Change the computer's bios so that the keyboard is seen as 'Legacy' or change the bios to allow 'wake on keyboard'. Either way, I think it is a bios setting that needs to be tweaked not windows itself. Best Wishes.

there are two small tilt legs at the left and right top section of the keyboard

Q: Where is the Fn equivalent key on this?

No need for Fn key for this. You just press the F1 to F12 . Fn key is when the top keys have a second function. In this case they have only one funtion. My laptop has Fn function key which I never need.

Sorry, don't know what you mean, but the keys are more like a typewriter. If you tend to "pound" on your keyboard, this is the one for you. Very durable.
