Wasabi Power Battery (2-Pack) and Charger for Canon BP-820 and Canon VIXIA HF G30, XA20, XA25

Wow.

The batteries are great but the caps to cover them are VERY tight and present a regular problem removing, so much so that I am afraid I am going to break something when I try to remove from the charger or the protective storage cap. As for the performance, it is early but so far so good, I have absolutely no complaints. I would give 5 stars if the release and use was smoother.

Batteries are recognized by camera and have good run time. The wall charger, however, is VERY slow, only 500 mA charge rate, vs camera's power supply which provides 1.5A (1500mA). So don't expect fast charge times in the wall unit. Fine if you're not in a hurry.

This is a must-buy for someone with a Canon HF G30 video camera. The battery life is the weakness of this vid cam. This Wasabi kit solves the problem. The charger is very compact, and the batteries (2) hold a charge like the original Canon. Vid cam also can read the battery level without difficulties.

compact and convenient. Allowed us to have extra batteries ready to go for the camcorder. Each battery lasts about 3 hrs. So on a 10 hour tour, having the second (didn't need the third) ready to pop in worked great..

These batteries worked first try with my Canon camcorder. The camera recognized the batteries and tracks the remaining charge as it does with the original Canon battery. I have Wasabi backups for my DSLR and am happy with them as well.

These batteries are amazing. I just wish they were extended batteries. I think one is DOA. No big deal. I am usually plugged into a power source.

Perfect out of the box. Charged right up, nice length of charge, fit my recorder perfectly. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again or recommend these batteries to anyone. Get them, extend your record time and have fun!
