A good quality UMF rated Honey. I recently had a cold and trying to find natural remedies that would relieve the symptoms bought a bottle of Manuka Honey from Amazon. That honey appeared to have a good rating but I later started to read up about honey and realised that some companies give a rating that implies it's of a higher grade than has been proven to be beneficial. After much research I learnt that the UMF rating standard is a very good guide line and ratings of 16+ UMF give the honey superior levels of the therapuetic benefits. Looking at a company who belonged to the UMF standard and comparing price I came up with this bottle of Steen Manuka Honey which is 20 UMF+ it appeared to be a good price and so my honey experiment begins.In particular I am keen to ward off any more cold this winter, to help the acid reflux in my stomach and aid the inflammation in my system and I note that it can also add sleep so I plan to use it over this winter and see what improvements I can gain.The honey I received looks very natural and tastes great. I can tell a subtle different in aroma from the previously bought one but who knows how long it will take for me to become a connoisseur! Manuka honey is not cheap and this bottle seem the most keenly priced at £38.99 for 340g. The label suggests that there are 34 portions of 10g in the jar and each portion is 32kcal. Although the honey is not solid you can see the hint of its naturally occurring crystal but it dissolves well in hot drinks.The most important message here is read up about honey before you buy and a simple Internet search will give you all the labels to look out for. Have been using this for a few days and as I indicate above this does look and feel like a better quality product and so although expensive I look forward to the healing benefit and amino acids and Vit B etc this product will give me naturally. What price health? If you are going to buy Manuka Honey buy the good stuff. To be continued....

This is a great product. And you can even trace it online to where it was made. Nice tasting too.Downside; I've tried using Manuka to fix sores and infections - especially yeasty irritants; it doesn't seem to work. I've now turned to using Colloidal Silver and that's done the trick.Great product and high quality; I'd recommend this for its genuine label. I'm just not convince by Manuka anymore.

For the slightly larger bottle size 340g compared to 250g this isn't as bad value as you may first think. Manuka honey is expensive and the higher the UMF the pricier it gets. It's the UMF values that matter too when looking at Manuka honey, so if comparing make sure you compare the same value as they don't come as standard, for reference this has a UMF of 20+ and MGO of 829+ for comparison with other brands. It is also raw honey, rather than pasteurised.I find this brand good (personally I find it works) for helping to sooth and defeat sore throats and coughs. It isn't something I would use to sweeten desserts, tea etc as, apart from the price point, it isn't as sweet as other honey. Bit grainy but this I don't find distracts from it. It has a dark and relatively thick consistency, tried to capture colour and texture with photo, hard to do well with a pot of honey!Oh, and you can type a code into the sterns website for information on where it came from too.

It helps my throat immediately and also relief of cough ! The taste is like nothing you ever tried before, I allways bought manuka in health stores but this is a high quality of a soft silky sweet taste , very exquisite , will continue to buy this again. Keep it in a dry place . I will also try to apply on my excema, will see ..
